This style of knife has been famous for years. There is only one company that currently furnishes these to the British SAS, that is George Ibberson (Sheffield) Ltd, England. These aren't a replica, this is the knife issued to British Special Services. The only difference between this knife and the one made for British Ministry of Defense is these are stamped William Rogers, Sheffield, England; whereas the ones issued to special services troops have absolutely no markings (sterile condition). These have the manufacturer's mark to go with the letter of authenticity (included with each knife) from the manufacturer confirming this is the knife made for the British Ministry of Defense and includes the NATO stock number, a rare find for those who appreciate authenticity.

Knife: 11 3/4" long, 7/1/2 oz. weight fighting knife with sheath. Diamond section double edged blade fitted with handle and crossguard. Balanced for throwing at 1 1/32" plus or minus 1/16" from crossguard towards top nut.

Blade: 6 7/8" long x 7/8" wide x 3/16" at shoulder, manufactured from carbon steel.

Handle: 4 7/8" long from underside of crossguard x 1/2 at cross guard. Grooved and contoured.

Crossguard: 2" long x 5/8" wide x 1/8" thick.

Finish: Black oxide.

Sheath: Best bridle leather, the bottom end to be protected by 20 SWG brass chape.
