Miyamoto Musashi Classic katana sword

Miyamoto Musashi, arguably the most famous swordmaster in Japanese history, was well above average height, which is reflected in the length of this katana. This katana and wakizashi feature the legendary double ring iron tsuba. Sayas are black lacquer with subtle copper inlays.

The blade is differentially tempered high carbon steel with an edge hardness of HRC60 and back hardness of HRC40.

The extra long 15" tsuka is double pegged with black leather wrapping over white same´.

 

 

A cloth bag and the traditional sword maintenance kit are included, the latter containing blade oil, rice papers, oiling cloth, a powder ball for blade polishing, and a brass awl and hammer.
